Critical repairs to the Mill’s foundation have been completed this summer. Old World Stonework from nearby Massachusetts has rebuilt a major section of the exterior west wall as well as damaged sections of an interior wall, replacing wooden cribbing that had been in place as a stop-gap measure to preserve the Mill for several years. The work was done without large equipment and minimal site disturbance. Care was taken to find a fieldstone that was well matched to the original. It is a pleasure to see the building’s foundation once again stand straight and firm.
